Procedures for Class Visits

If teachers exchange books, or simply wish to utilize an area in the library, all they have to do is notify us prior to their visit. If they wish to plan an activity, the library usually requires some time to prepare. If you need to cancel a scheduled visit, please notify us as soon as possible.

Library Cards for Children

Children enrolled in a school in the Town of Hawkesbury can obtain a library card for free. This is ideal for classes wishing to benefit from the library’s resources. The card is valid for the school year. You can print out the library card form and ask parents to complete it. The school can then forward the duly signed copies.

Book Batches

The library offers a loan service for batches of book designed to facilitate access. Early childhood educators, teachers and community organizations can borrow up to 35 documents at a time for their organization or classroom. In addition, establishments can take out a membership by filling out an application. If teachers are looking for a specific topic, they should call us ahead of time to notify us when they will be picking up the items. The name of the person in charge should be indicated on the application.
