You can reserve a work station by coming to the library or calling (613) 632-0106. Please note that if there is a waiting list, sessions will be limited to one hour.

Literacy Stations for Children

The Hawkesbury Public Library offers an interactive literacy station for young children. This area is a work station with over 45 educational software programs for children aged 2 to 10.

Many of these programs focus on learning activities, games and programs that promote skills development in the areas of mathematics, problem solving, science, social studies, geography, writing, computer software, reading, word recognition, phonetics, music and art. Each child will discover his/her abilities and interests while having a great time! With children, learning is done through reading!
