Services Documents Loans Adults: 10 documents, including 2 new documents Children: 7 documents except DVD, CD, video Teenagers: 7 documents Loan Period Books: 3 weeks New documents : 2 weeks CD's, CD-Rom's and magazines : 1 week DVD's, Videos : 48 hours Patrons can renew their loans (except for news documents) if the books in question have not been reserved by another person. A limit of 2 renewals is permitted per loan. Reservation The documents that are not available on the shelves can be reserved at the circulation desk or by calling at 613-632-0106 ext. 2250. Interlibrary Loans The documents that are not available at the Hawkesbury Public Library can be requested through interlibrary loan. This service is free when the document comes from a library in Ontario. Applications must be made at the reference desk or by calling at 613-632-0106 ext. 2270. Museums privilege card A family privilege card for the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum can be borrowed for a period of one week. Homebound Service Residents of Hawkesbury who are temporarily or permanently incapacitated due to illness, age or physical disability, and who are unable to personally obtain material from the library are eligible for homebound service and can contact us at 613-632-0106 ext. 2251. Photocopy and fax Fax service (outgoing only) is available at the reference desk for the following fees: Local calls: $ 1.00 first page and 0.25 ¢ for the each additional pages Long-distance calls: $ 2.00 first page and 0.25 ¢ for the each additional pages (Ontario, Quebec) A photocopy service (black & white only) is available at a cost of 0.15 ¢ per page. Late fees Fines per day, per document Adult book: 0.25 ¢ (maximum of $ 40.00 per document) Children book: 0.10 ¢ (maximum of $ 20.00 per document) DVD, CD: $ 2.00 (maximum of $ 40.00 per document) Lost or damaged documents Documents lost or damaged are charged to the patron according to the price listed in our database.
