Get a Library Card!
RESIDENTS
All residents of the town of Hawkesbury can use the basic services offered by the library for free. A "resident" is any person residing in the town of Hawkesbury. He or she must show proof of residence before obtaining a library card. This card is valid for one year and must be renewed thereafter.
Parents can obtain a card for their child. Children under 14 years old (or young adults without proof of residence) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at registration time.
NON-RESIDENTS
Non-residents can enjoy the privileges reserved to the members when paying the annual rates established by the library:
Institution $162.00
Family $140.00
Adult $ 58.00
Seniors (65 +) $ 52.00
Student $ 35.00
Children 13 & under $ 35.00
Seasonal $ 40.00
INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENTS
The library has an agreement with the Township of East Hawkesbury (Chute-à-Blondeau, Saint-Anne-de-Prescott, Saint-Eugène) allowing their residents free access. (proof of residence is required).
Champlain Township residents may submit to the municipality a request for reimbursement of membership fees.
LOST CARDS
Members are responsible for all transactions on their card. They must notify the library if their card is lost or stolen. A new card will be issued. A replacement cost of $3.00 applies.
